We were StokeSignals. Now we are Prequel. Yep. We've renamed our naming agency.
How's that for meta?

There was nothing wrong with our old name. We liked it. A lot. We own the trademark. We have a great domain name. Clients and partners have known us by that name - for 10 years. So… we decided to change our name.Makes total sense, right?
Check out our rather wordy site and let us know what you think.

You're spending

TOO MUCH MONEY

NOT to spend money

on naming

We help companies level-up their brands and navigate the naming-related complexities of mergers, acquisitions, and roll-ups.

We can HELP WITH

pre-sale evaluation of  brand equity and product portfolio naming conventions
post-merger brand architecture revisions & new naming systems
helping brands level-up to reach their full potential after funding events or roll-ups
We create
names that are unique and ownable
— names that become the foundation of powerful, profitable brands.
We can also help you sort through the strategic questions around brand equity, renaming, and merging product portfolios.
We have been there, done that.
Here’s when we typically hear from private equity investors, VCs, or recently funded founders:
1
the company is about to spend significant money on awareness, but realizes that it would be smart to professionalize the brand first
2
there’s a trademark issue with the original name (often it was never screened)
3
there’s been a merger, acquisition, or roll-up: a new name is required, for a plethora of reasons
4
there's ABOUT TO BE a merger, acquisition, or roll-up: you want to understand the current brand equity and/or the potential name-related challenges ahead

if this sounds like you
